Malaysia is a diverse country with multi racial with multi religion forms the society. With mutual respect for each others belief and tradition, Malaysia is a peace love country.
Malaysia enjoys tropical weather year round however due to its proximity to water the climate is often quite humid. Despite this, the weather is never too hot and temperatures range from a mild 20°C to 30°C average throughout the year; however the highlands experience a much cooler temperature.
Therefore, a mix of highlands and lowlands and a good geographical location of Malaysia creates some real wonders that makes Malaysia look like places in another country.
Here's a quick look at 15 of such places:
1. Japanese Gardens in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang.
The Japanese Village is a series of Japan-themed attractions, spread across a garden landscape on a hill top at Berjaya Hills, Bukit Tinggi. It's just 5 minutes away by car or shuttle ride away from Colmar Tropicale Resort. The village also comprises the Japanese Tea House, Botanical Garden, Tatami Spa, Ume Tatami Suite and Ryo Zan Tei Restaurant.
Atteactions here includes rock pools, koi ponds, flower gardens and a Japanese tea house, spot for bird watching. You can even rent kimonos here for about $4 (USD) and take pictures.
2. Colmar Tropicale Berjaya Hills, Bukit Tinggi, Pahang.
Colmar Tropicale Berjaya Hills,Bukit Tinggi is medieval French village in the middle of a
Malaysian rainforest, Colmar Tropicale features a castle drawbridge which leads to a massive cobblestone courtyard filled with colourful flowers, park benches, a water fountain, wishing well, and an intricate cuckoo clock tower.
Colmar Tropicale is modelled after the lovely 18th century city of Colmar in Alsace, France. It houses quaint French cafés, art galleries, lively street performances, and plenty of exciting activities for visitors of all ages – just 45 mins away from the hustle and bustle of KL city.
3. Cameron highlands, Pahang
Named after government geologist and explorer William Cameron in 1885, Cameron highlands consists of 3 subdistricts; namely Ringlet, Tanah Rata and Ulu Telom. Its eight settlements are Ringlet, Tanah Rata (the administrative centre), Brinchang, the Bertam Valley, Kea Farm, Tringkap, Kampung Kuala Terla, Kampung Raja and Blue Valley. All are nestled at elevations ranging from 800 metres (2,600 ft) to 1,603 metres (5,259 ft) above sea level.
Developed in the 1930s, the tableland is one of the oldest tourist spots in Malaysia. Apart from its tea estates, Cameron Highlands is a cool getaway from our busy city life to a place with cool weather.

4. KELLIE'S CASTLE, BATU GAJAH PERAK
If you like visiting castles of Europe,then,
Kellie's Castle, in Batu Gajah,Perak would be an alternative choice. William Kellie-Smith,a businessman, in 1915, with the birth of his son and heir Anthony, Kellie-Smith started planning for a huge castle with Scottish, Moorish, and Tamilvanan Indian architecture.
Kellie-Smith brought in 70 craftsmen Tamilvanan from Madras, India. All the bricks and marble were imported from India, too. Included in the plan for the 6-storey tower was Malaysia's first elevator, an indoor tennis court and a rooftop courtyard for entertainment. Unfortunately the mansion was unfinished due to his untimely death from pneumonia.
This place is a great place for photo shoots. Locals say this place is haunted, so take your Amulets when you go there and don't be there after dusk.
5. Sasaran beach,Kuala Selangor
Sasaran beach in Kuala Selangor is Malaysia's equivalent to Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, which reflects the sky like a mirror. This place is nicknamed 'Sky mirror' and its a great place to take photos. It's a one of a kind in Malaysia.
6. Astaka Morocco, Putrajaya
Astaka Morocco is the place for you to go if you like a middle eastern touch to your photos.
Tucked in the corner of Putrajaya Botanical Garden, the Moroccan inspired architecture is not only surrounded by landscaped gardens but also a scenic lake that will take your breath away. It is a spectacular monument, built to signify a cultural exchange between two countries - Malaysia and Morocco.
7. River Cruise in Sungai Melaka
If you like to cruise through buildings on a boat like in Venice, then a boat ride along Sungai Melaka will suit you.
Melaka was dubbed as the Venice of Melaka by Portuguese travel in the 16th century. It may not be as artistic as Venice but it's the closest Malaysia has.
8. Pantai Klebang,Melaka
There are some who travel to Sahara in Africa braving the hot scorching sun to take pictures of sand dunes. Go no further..all you have to do is drive to Pantai Klebang,Melaka and you will have lots of white sand dunes in which you can play and take photos without minus the heat..and the camels.
9. Taj Mahal
Did you know that there are 4 'Taj Mahals' in Malaysia?
Alright, I must admit...the Taj Mahals of Malaysia are nowhere near the Majestic monument of love built built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife..but these places are unique on their own perspective.

10. Sipadan island, Sabah
People go to Maldives in the Indian Ocean to go diving and enjoy the rich aquatic life. Malaysia has a place to match Maldives in Sipadan Island. Sipadan island is voted the best dive location by many dive magazines because it is an oceanic island. The shallow sea is home to over 3,000 species of marine life. The beach in Sipadan island is also amazing. This place is worth a visit.
11. Mabul island, Sabah
Bora Bora is a small South Pacific island northwest of Tahiti in French Polynesia. Surrounded by sand-fringed motus
(islets) and a turquoise lagoon protected by a coral reef, it's known for its scuba diving. It's also a popular luxury resort destination where some guest bungalows are perched over the water on stilts.
We have our own Bora Bora islands in Mabul Island in Sabah. Divers from around the world come here for a chance to encounter and to take photos of reefs,pelagics,colourful varieties of fish.
12. Desa Farms in Kundasang,Sabah
Cool breeze, surrounded by mountains, lush green grassland with grazing friesian cows sounds like a view of New Zealand right.. wrong! I am talking about Desa Farms in Kundasang ,Sabah to experience a glimpse of New Zealand's scenic view in this cattle farm.
13. Clearwater Caves in Miri, Sarawak
Gua Air Jernih ( Clearwater Cave) is in Ginung Mulu National Park in Miri Sarawak. Its interconnected caves is believed to be one of the largest in the world. A trip here will amaze you. Similar caves exists in Europe.
14. Kelabit highlands in Bario,Sarawak
Vietnam is land rich with natural resources in minerals and vegetation. This has caused colonization from various countries from many countries. Years of warfare has caused guerillas to plant landmines in many places and as a result its advisable to go through proper travel agencies if you wish to visit.

15. Maliau Basin,Sabah's Lost World

Maliau Basin Conservation area is huge basin of forest virtually untouched by humans. It is the "Amazon" of Malaysia.
